PEPSI SERIES PENALTY SYSTEM (PSPS)

UPDATED 10/13/06

Each driver will start out the season with 0 penalty points

During a race if you cause a yellow flag with an incident of any kind you will be given 1 penalty point. The first self spin will not be penalized (unless you make contact with another car), but each following self spin per race will be given 1 penalty point if the yellow is waved. 2 self spins and you must park your car for duration of the race.

If there is an incident between 2 drivers under caution, this will result in double penalty points. There will be no intentional spinning or bumping of any other car while the field is under caution!

If you have 1 penalty point at the end of the race, you have 1 race to get that total back to 0. If you get 2 penalty points during a race you must FORFEIT 25 POINTS FROM YOUR SEASON POINTS TOTAL!!. (UPDATED 12/15/05) EACH ADDITIONAL PSPS POINT ABOVE AND BEYOND 2 WILL RESULT IN ANOTHER 50 POINT DEDUCTION .

The PGN SERIES WILL NO LONGER SUSPEND DRIVERS AFTER 3 PSPS'S. YOU WILL, HOWEVER, FORFEIT 50 POINTS FROM YOUR SEASON POINTS TOTAL. IF YOU GET 3 PSPS IN ONE RACE, YOU WILL SIT OUT THE NEXT RACE.  IF YOU GET 3 PSPS OVER A 3 RACE PERIOD, YOU WILL NOT BE FORCED TO SIT A RACE BUT WILL GET A POINT PENALTY AS DESCRIBED ABOVE!

If you have an incident that does not bring out a yellow, you can still be given a point upon further review by Penalty Committee. The point must be agreed upon by all replay review members! UPDATED 10/13/06

2 penalty points and you can sit out a race to get your total back to 1 penalty points. If you sit out 2 races you will be back to 0 points. Sitting out 2 races is not required, but if you feel you need to, I must be notified of your decision so I do not place you on inactive list.

If you sit out a race you will  receive 80 provisional points. If you must sit a race due to penalties you will not receive provisonials for that race

                                 HOW TO GET POINTS CLEARED

Running a PGN points race  without incident will erase 1 penalty point from your total. If you have 0, you stay at 0. We do not accumulate negative numbers. All drivers who run race incident free and are at 0 to start race remain at 0.

                                            APPEAL PROCESS

Each driver has the right to protest the decision of the league administrator and the review committee. To appeal, you must send 3 lap replay to the administrator. The replay must include the lap before and after the incident and the incident itself!
